About Ari

The Queen of Show

Ari is obsessed with peppermint chocolate, video-gaming, and absorbing the world through a camera lens. But her heart has always belonged to stories and the humans who write them. It's her dream to do it all: read, write, edit, and agent.

She's enjoyed -- and continues to be involved in -- many alleys of the publishing realm.

  • She created Bookish Valhalla in 2016, a literary blog for Valkyries on the hunt for stories worth devouring.

  • In 2018, she co-founded CraftQuest with Maria and landed herself a literary internship with TriadaUS.

  • Prior to CraftQuest & Bookish Valhalla, she has five years experience as a freelance developmental editor.

  • Since 2016, she has beta read for self-published authors and reviewed ARCS for publishers from small presses to the top 5.

  • Two years experience copy-editing and copy-writing in non-fiction.

She is a senior at the University of Washington, where she studies English Literature and Japanese.

Dubbed the "Queen of Show" by her fellow editors, Ari is most passionate about helping writers to craft immersive worlds, and to develop uniquely complex characters, bringing attention to all the finer details that help their stories stand out.
